MAKING MONEY BY SPREADING SOME ARTIFICIAL GRANDEUR WITH ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS...

If you enjoy creating your own flower arrangements and receive compliments on your projects, you will probably succeed in selling them. With a bit of creativity, you can turn your hobby into a business. Selling artificial flowers and trees could give you an opportunity to make money while enjoying your hobby at the same time.

Reach out to the event and wedding planners in your area to form business relationships. These professionals can lead you to potential customers and vice versa. A touch of green can make any room or commercial indoor to come alive, and also give your place a serene effect. Artificial plants, flowers, and trees are vivacious and add warmth to your home décor.

We are not at all of the opinions that natural plants are no match to the silk variety, but knowing the disadvantages of real plants, and hassles of maintenance associated with it, it can really give a homeowner hard time taking care of them.

If you are the one who loves to have decorative accessories in and around your home and office and are keen to have greenery, then there can’t be an ideal option than silk plants.

Learn all you can about Artificial Foliage and its Uses...

To gain knowledge and access to the world of artificial plants, first, you need to brush up your skills regarding the designs of floral arrangements.  For this, you can go through home décor magazines, websites or read blogs, and maybe go on a few courses.

Doing so will make you come across artificial plants and flowers of many styles and types. Fire retardant foliage, artificial greenery, hanging bush and grass, silk orchids, silk flower topiaries, tropical plants, containers, planters, and succulents are just a few varieties among the largest collection of these faux beauties.

The trend of designing and decorating the indoor and outdoor landscaping changes every year, if not every season, hence, it is important for you to know the latest trends and only then progress to decorate your home stylishly.

Artificial Plants let you Celebrate Every Season...

When you decide to purchase artificial flowers make some rules for buying. The first thing you should know is to go over the top with your designs. Be with the trends, try not to use big roses and huge sunflowers, this makes your home dated. Small sized Hydrangeas or a Cymbidium orchid in peach and white hues always look good in any home. And the best part is they are natural looking.

A second point to remember is having good containers and planters to place these silk beauties. Silk flowers are so adaptable that they can be placed in any room of a house, the bedroom, bathroom and even the kitchen will look nice after adding some fake plant to uplift the mood. Choose pots, containers that have been designed to place a particular plant. This way you won’t ruin the look of the decorative accessory.

Silk Plants look better than Natural Ones...

The highest quality designing technique has enabled silk plants to look more natural and lifelike than real plants. When purchasing artificial flowers, trees, and plants you should always go for natural looks. Pay good attention to the texture of the leaves and petals and also to the quality of the colors.

The highest quality designing technique has enabled silk plants to look more natural and lifelike than real plants. When purchasing artificial flowers, trees, and plants you should always go for natural looks. Pay good attention to the texture of the leaves and petals and also to the quality of the colors.  It is this lifelike quality that has made artificial flowers a hit among the masses and the classes. You must have observed it many times that people are so astonished that the shade under which are standing is an artificial tree. The combination of high-quality manufacturing, design, texture, color combination and the cost of the product has totally evolved the process of keeping our surroundings beautiful. Study flower arranging through florist school or garden clubs that offer training in the art of floral design. Pay attention to the trends in home décor and art. Establish yourself as an expert on fake flowers then you could also make money out of offering classes and teaching others about the art of artificial flowers. The opportunities in the artificial flowers business are massive, the world is your oyster.

HOW TO GROW THEN SELL YOUR OWN VEGETABLES/AND OR FRUITS...

A great way to get a little something extra coming in during the summer months is to grow your own vegetables then sell them on. Package them in paper or cardboard which will be a winner with everyone trying to cut down on plastic.

Vegetables and or fruit can be grown in your own garden or on an allotment (or if you have a neighbour who has a big garden you could ask to use some of their space for free vegetables for them). A scheme has been set up to help local communities to encourage members to exchange produce so they can enjoy a variety of goods.

The Flower Pot Man has some great information about growing and selling your own vegetables and includes a list of places where you could sell them - "Get the timing right for car boot sales, display the produce on a stall at the gate or driveway to your house, grow old fashioned and rare varieties of vegetables plants from seed, sell to local greengrocers, specialist restaurants and delis or even swap produce for a service."

A great magazine which has information on every type of vegetable and fruit is the Grow Your Own Fruit and Vegetables Magazine, which has great offers if you subscribe to the magazine, it's also available as an app which is great if you need to check something about a particular crop while working on it.

A best selling book on Amazon, "Allotment Month By Month: How to Grow Your Own Fruit and Veg" by Alan Buckingham has over 250 customer reviews.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY FLIPPING...

To make a profit flipping you must know what products you can flip that make the best money. A flipper is someone who buys something at a lower price point from one market, and sells it at a higher price point to another market that is looking for it.

Vintage items seem to come quite high on the list. You can find them online, at car boots and auctions and the quickest way to flip them is to revamp them even if its just with a coat of paint.

One of the best places apart from Ebay to find things to flip is at a carboot sale. Look for smaller items like old books or well known children's toys to then immediately flip onto Ebay and sell at a profit.

If you can't get out to buyt some items to flip then go online to lastminute auctions and look at items that are about to finish for 99p and see what they are selling for on Ebay then buy your item, pop it on Ebay and you might even sell it before your item arrives to you so it could be sent direct to the customer.

Check out Craigslist or Gumtree and work on the same basis as lastminute auctions on Ebay or similar sites.

If you an expert in a particular field or passionate about something like fashion, accessories, gadgets, collectibles etc then concentrate on flipping these sort of items as you probably already know the rough price these sell for.

The opportunity is endless and there are plenty of sites to help you get started and even books on the subject. One of my favourite sites is this article on What Really Makes Money and this book Flipping on Craigslist: A Guide on How to Make Side Income by Justin Dallas.

TOP TEN WAYS TO SAVE MONEY THIS WINTER...

In case you haven't already heard these I thought I would give you what they call, 'the top ten ways to save money this Winter.

Of course, this list has been adapted by Confused.com so some of the pointers may not surprise you.

1. 'Give yourself a quick financial review', ie check your direct debits and other payments in your account are up to date. With the renewal of some magazine subscriptions coming up around Christmas this is one worth reminding yourself of. They say 'move payments as close to payday as possible and it will be easier to work out how much money you have left for the rest of the month'.

2.  'Be disloyal' – to your cards and accounts that is. With apparently 106 of the 228 credit cards on the market being accessed only via the internet application, it pays to shop around for the best deals.

3. 'Balance transfers', and the best way to do this is to go to Confused.com who offers a free Card Matcher tool that shows you how likely you are to be accepted before you apply.

4. 'Savings Bonus' apparently savings top the list of 'Brits' financial woes', according to the survey by Unbiased, with 39 percent of those polled admitting this is their top concern. So, study, study and study some more by looking for the best savings.

5. 'Tax-Free Savings' which again I am sure we have all got ISA's but if you have any money in your current account at the end of the month, Confused.com say you should transfer it to an instant access cash ISA.

6. ' Use it or lose it', by that they mean some packaged current accounts offer such as travel insurance, breakdown etc if not being used can be bought cheaper.

7. 'Switch Current Accounts'. They say that you can actually 'make money' by switching your current account. Some banks, for instance, are offering new customers cash to switch their main account, which can come in rather handy coming up to Christmas. There are some stipulations but just look on Confused.com website for details of this one and others that are available.

8. 'Earn as you spend'. They say that a cashback credit card means you can earn money every time you spend which can be as much as 5 percent in some cases.

9. 'Spending abroad'. Chance would be a fine thing for me at the moment but plenty of you go on winter sun holidays so they are saying you should plan which cards to use abroad by looking on their site as some can charge a fortune to use abroad.

10.  'Money Saving apps', apparently there are a number of clever smartphone apps that can help you budget from iXpenseit which allows you to set up a budget and record your daily outgoings to a category, which makes it good for tracking your spending. It's not for free though, so check out the free ones first.

More information on all of the above is available from www.confused.com

HOW TO MAKE MONEY KNITTING...

Knitting is one of the most popular hobby's which has had a big comeback recently with knitting groups setting up all over the Country.

You would be surprised how easy it is to knit something as simple as a scarf or cushion covers, blankets etc and these are also some of the easiest things to sell. Once you've mastered the scarf, you can move onto bags, cushion covers, and blankets, with just a few rectangles stitched together and a button here and there, they're very satisfying to make.

If you can't make it to a class or a group to master the art there are lots of online courses.

You can buy cheap wool from charity shops, eBay and some magazines give freebies or simply undo a jumper that you do not like anymore.

Places you could sell your knitting from are car boot sales, online Carboot Junction or Your Booty and of course eBay or craft fairs, and with the countdown to Christmas 2017 soon starting there are plenty of events and craft fairs that you could also rent a table from.

Other online options are Etsy, CQuot, Ebid, or Preloved.

MY TOP FIVE LOYALTY CARDS THAT GIVE SOMETHING BACK...

Store cards are everywhere at the moment but which is the best pic for saving up some well-earned money?

Boots Advantage Card is probably the first one I had but I love it, I only buy when they are either offering 2 for 1 offers or extra points then I leave it until December and happily buy lots of presents and it cost me nothing. It gives you four points for every £1 you spend. Each point is worth 1p so 1,000 points are the equivalent to £10.

The Sainsbury's Nectar card is very similar. You get one point on your Nectar card for every £1 you spend at Sainsbury's and other stores. You can also collect if you buy online through the nectar e-shops. Each point is worth 0.5p so 1,000 points are worth £5. You can either use the points up buying products or you can use them up on days out or cinema tickets.

Tesco has a Clubcard where you earn points at a rate of one per every pound you spend at either Tesco or at partner sites like energy company E.on. You need 1,000 to get £10 off your shopping but swapping your vouchers for Clubcard Boost tokens makes every £10 voucher worth up to £40. These can be put towards days out, holidays, hotel deals and other special offers. For the last couple of years, the amount I have saved up has bought me a year's Senior Rail Card.

Morrisons is another supermarket chain that has Morrisons More loyalty card which I have only just started. It gives you five points for every £1 you spend in-store and online. You even get 10 Morrisons More Points per litre when you buy fuel at Morrisons and 24 points for every £1 you spend on Gift Cards in the store. When you reach 5,000 points you have £5.

Superdrug offers a Beauty Card where you get 1 point for every £1 you spend and each point is worth 1p which you can use both in-store and online.

#HOW TO MAKE MONEY FROM OLD BOOKS...

Pick up your old books from car boot sales, used book stores, charity shops (Oxfam have a great range) or online but first make a note of the ISBN number then compare it with similar books selling on Amazon or Ebay.

If your in a book shop you will have to make sure you have your mobile with you to scan the ISBN number.

If you find an old book without an ISBN on it then research it and think of taking the idea of the book and rewriting it to sell on Amazon Kindle.

Always keep your eyes open for old textbooks as these can fetch a lot of money.

Abe Books have a section for you to find out the value of your old book even if they do not have an ISBN number in it.

Some companies that will buy your books include Zapper, We Buy Books, Amazon, FatBrain, Momax, or Ebay.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY WITH THE #POLICE..

Did you know that you can take part in a police line-up, and get paid for it ?

All you do is find your local police station and register as a potential line up candidate.

The age group of 18 – 35 are in more demand (obviously).

But don't worry because if you get chosen instead of the suspect, they can't put you in prison.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR CAR OR VAN...

You can get £66 - £200 a month to have an advert plastered down the side of your car, and apparently it will not do any damage to the paint work.

According to This is Money " motorists could earn up to £1,500 per year by renting out advertising space on their car, Company branding is professionally applied to the surfaces of the vehicle and can remain fitted for three to 12 months depending on the duration of the ad campaign". A great idea to help students pay for the running of their cars.

Look at Comm Motion or Use That Space for more details.

They have a strict driver requirement with the obvious things on it like, a current MOT and road tax for your vehicle and no convictions on your license.

WHERE TO LOOK FOR #FREELANCE WRITING/BLOGGING JOBS...

Have you spent hours on end looking through websites to try and find a freelance writing/blogging job? Well I hope I can help you by suggesting some of the best places to look for this kind of work.

People Per Hour is UK's No 1 Freelancing Community, This one works by you (the blogger/writer) advertises what you can offer and how much it will cost the client. For example,' I can write an engaging 400/500 word blog article in 60 minutes for £10'. If a customer finds that interesting then they pay a down payment to start the job. Then if they are happy you then finish the job for them.
Jobs are also advertised whereby you can send a proposal for the job.

Fiveer is another great site and under their 'Articles and Blogs' section state that you can 'hire professional writers for your blogs and articles. You advertise what you can blog about like People Per Hour, although I did notice the hourly rate was a tad less on this site. One advert said 'I will write top quality content for you up to 500 words for £3.51' and there is a page full of these!!

Guru  has lots of blogging/writing jobs. They have a global network of over 1.5 million gurus listed on their database. The client pays Guru then Guru pays you which is a win, win situation as they will make sure they get the payment and save you any problems.

All you do is join Guru and create a profile and define the freelance services you want to offer. Employers will then find you by these services when they search for freelances to hire. You then apply for jobs that interest you. Guru also showcase previous work you have completed to back up your proposals. They also provide job matches daily so you don;t miss out on an opportunities.

They also give you all the professional tools you need to define milestones, set tasks, communicate with employers, share files, and agree upon payment schedules.

Freelancer which is well established and has a good reputation. They have freelancers on their list for any kind of job such as: Logo Design, Business Cards, Graphic Design, Website Design, Market Research, Telemarketing, Search Engine Optimization and lots more.

You sign up, create a profile then check out the thousands of jobs listed and if you see any you like the look of then make a bid for them by offering your service and the fee you would charge per hour.

A few more sites to take a peak at are Blogging Pro  Whatever you write on you will find a steady stream of employers looking for a blog writers versed in many subjects.

Freelance Writing Jobs other sites say that Craig's list is Craig's list but this site does try to exclude any posts that look like scams but check the postings well.

#HOW TO SELF PUBLISH YOUR OWN BOOK AND EARN SOME EXTRA MONEY...

Have you always wanted to write a book, or maybe you have written a book but don't know where to go with your manuscript. Obviously you can try sending it out to publishers but their margins on books have decreased over the years. There are now fewer major publishing houses in existence and the ones that are left tend to focus more on publishing books that have track record, or a celebrity name to them.

So that leaves all new authors in a difficult position and hence the reason why so many are going down the self-publishing route. Create Space who I used for my books will publish them completely FREE...

Create Space is an Amazon Company who will self- publish your book for you then get it onto the Amazon sites throughout the world. The free Publishing Resources help you with creating content, formatting files and marketing your work.

They have some FREE book covers to choose from or you can download your own. I would certainly recommend doing your own or asking a friend to do it for you. You can see the difference in my two quite clearly from a professional cover to the off the peg one.

You can maintain complete creative control and own your copyright with their non-exclusive agreement. You can set your list price and receive industry-leading royalties, so basically you decide how much you make. Have your work published and available on Amazon.com and Europe in just a few days.

Every part of self publishing with Create Space is very straight forward. Just simply join and add your title and then your on your way.

There are a number of other large self-publishing companies like Lulu  and Blurb. I have self published two books with Blurb but they were both personal diaries for my family. But I'm sure they are all very similar in format and easy to master.
