Making some extra money from your own home is possible, in fact there are a number of ways you can do this. They say 'an Englishman's home is his castle', so how about letting your castle earn some money for you.

Have you thought about may be renting out one of your rooms for some extra cash, it could be for short term let for visiting foreign students and lecturers or a long term let. 

Look at the Governments rent-a-room scheme and visit websites like Easy Room Mate and Spare Room  where they say they every 3 minutes someone finds a flatmate on Spare Room.

How about running a B&B, do you live near something of interest, have you a room with a view. With the access of the internet now you have an easy and inexpensive way of advertising your room or rooms.

Are you within walking space of a station, exhibition centres, Wembley Stadium, or anywhere that holds annual events. Then you could advertise B&B just for these specific dates.

You sign up, create a profile then check out the thousands of jobs listed and if you see any you like the look of then make a bid for them by offering your service and the fee you would charge per hour.

Freelance Writing Jobs other sites say that Craig's list is Craig's list but this site does try to exclude any posts that look like scams but check the postings well.

Media Bistro have a freelance section which covers a whole range of jobs from TV, PR/marketing and book publishing and social media.

Finally the Pro Blogger's board is one to check on, on a regular basis. It's always full the brim of freelancing jobs. 

#HOW TO MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR GARDEN...

Spring has just arrived and your garden is looking a bit tired but it could be used to bring you in some extra cash.

Is your garden to big for you to look after ? Well why not turn it into allotments. Growing your own vegetables has become so popular that there are waiting lists for allotments.

It's not going to make you a fortune as on average, allotments in Britain cost between £10 - £30 a year but if you have a large garden that you struggle to maintain yourself, then this could be a perfect way to get around it.

You could also grow your own vegetables and save money as well as make some money at the same time. Look at Plot Search  and the governments Apply for an Allotment   in case you need to apply for permission. Another good site is the National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardens.

If you love your garden and feel it's well worth opening to the public then open your garden to the public through NGS, and sell your plants to the general public that come to see your garden.
